Between 2022 and 2025, Utopi’s verified absolute revenue growth was 499%, which has placed us 44th of 150 companies in the Financial Times’ inaugural list of the UK’s Fastest-Growing Companies 2026, compiled with Statista. The list ranks companies on compound annual growth rate between 2022 and 2025, using revenue figures submitted and verified through the application process. It is a proud moment for everyone at Utopi.
Where It Started
Utopi began in Glasgow in 2019 with a simple idea. Buildings could be better understood, better optimised and better supported by technology, data and innovation. Seven years later, we work with PBSA and BTR operators and owners across 13 countries, including EU markets. The Utopi Platform now connects around 90,000 rooms, with 63bn+ room-level data points behind them, and the team has grown from 12 people to 44 since 2022.
Building Utopi from Glasgow has shaped how we work, and the backing of Scottish investors has been part of that. Support from the Scottish National Investment Bank has helped us attract talent, develop our products and expand internationally, and it is encouraging to see a Scottish-founded business recognised alongside so many of the UK’s most ambitious companies.
The list is made up of companies that grew quickly through a period of real pressure on the UK economy, and it is encouraging to see a Scottish-founded business recognised alongside them. From here, the work continues in the same direction. We will keep building performance intelligence that gives owners and operators clearer evidence on energy savings, compliance certainty and asset value, with a growing presence across European markets.
