Utopi has been shortlisted for Scale-Up of the Year (£10m+) at the Scotland Growth Awards, organised by The Business Desk. The ceremony will take place in Edinburgh on 29 April 2027. Six companies are on the shortlist for the category, and the recognition belongs as much to our customers, partners and colleagues as it does to Utopi.
What the awards recognise
The Growth Awards are in their first edition. They recognise Scottish companies that have grown by expanding, making acquisitions or entering international markets, together with the leaders and teams behind that growth. Scale-Up of the Year is split by size, and Utopi is shortlisted in the £10m+ category.
Growth in rooms and countries
The Utopi Platform™ covers 90,000 rooms across 13 countries, with 64Bn+ data points collected from PBSA and BTR assets. For an asset manager, that depth of room-level data means each asset can be read against a very large set of comparable rooms, which makes outliers across a portfolio easier to find and explain.
Built in Glasgow, working in 13 countries
Utopi is based in Glasgow, and that footprint has been built from Scotland. Deloitte’s Fast 50 ranked us first among Scotland’s fastest growing technology businesses, and a Scottish shortlist for scale-up growth sits alongside that record.
The work reaches well beyond Scotland. Utopi operates in 13 countries, including 10,000 European rooms connected. EU energy performance regulation is placing more weight on measured building performance, and room-level data gives operators in EU markets the same evidence base as their UK counterparts.
Looking ahead
Winners across all categories will be announced at the ceremony in Edinburgh on 29 April 2027, and we look forward to the evening alongside the other shortlisted Scottish companies. Until then, the work continues from Glasgow with customers across PBSA and BTR assets in 13 countries. To see what room-level building performance data shows across your portfolio, book a demo.
