As students moved out at the end of the academic year, a space at a PBSA property sat vacant for 11 days during the handover period. The Utopi Platform flagged this space as both unoccupied and high-consumption, during these 11 days, the space consumed 10.5kWh per day, enabling immediate intervention.

Resolution.

Despite being one of the shorter vacancy periods identified, the impact was still substantial. Once the operations team intervened and turned off the heating, consumption dropped by 4kWh daily.
