Scenario.
A Utopi outlier report helped inform a PBSA Operator that one studio was 5°C warmer than other rooms, reaching highs of 27°C despite the BMS max temperature having been set at 23°C.
Upon inspection, the site team realised the studio had been fitted with a new panel heater and it hadn’t been registered with the BMS yet – which ultimately had the ability to control the panel heater temperature.
Result.
Following this notification, the heater was added to list of controllable devices and the BMS gained control of the heater. The average temperature reduced by 6°C in just 24 hours.
Over a 200-day heating season this could produce results of…
-
2,400kWh energy reduction
-
504kg carbon reduction
